Mother's Day (kinda)!!

Cyrus & I decided to commemorate this Mother's Day by planting a tree in our new yard. After much deliberation we picked out a Golden Delicious Apple tree (fitting huh?). We planted it and now we can't wait to watch it grow! Hopefully next year we'll have apples :)

The new & final plan...

Cyrus & I went to check out fabric together in town finally & after dicovering that he only liked/wanted dark navy (not the color of our living room couch) for the nursery, I had to rethink some things. We found a chair to have reupholstered for the room & picked out just the right color navy duckcloth at Joann's (& white for the piping) so now I've been looking for navy to match that cloth for everything else in the room. This is what I found today & Cyrus likes it too!



We did find some super-soft bright green fabric that we like for a changing pad cover & I am planning on attaching a green ribbon stripe to the bed skirt & somewhere on the bumper. Then we'll use that original navy & green swirly fabric on a pillow for the chair & window treatment. So now we have a real plan - yay!!
