The beginnings of a nursery...

Cyrus called our carpenter yesterday & he is going to come measure on Wednesday! I can't wait to start this project! I love to decorate & the though of creating something special for our 1st child is beyond exciting. The night after we found out we were expecting, I had a dream about what the nursery would look like & now it's time to make it a reality.
We've decided to go with dark wood furniture w/navy & kelly green fabrics. Here are some ideas...















I REALLY love the bottom one on left but have been having a hard time finding the fabric :( I'm not going to give up easily though!!

We are going to have our carpenter install beadboard topped by a ledge (to lean frames, etc. on) & paint that white w/navy walls above. I can't wait!!

Baby!!

So we found out the Saturday after Thanksgiving that we're going to have a baby! Our due date is August 4 & we are really excited about being parents. We have decided not to find out the sex of the baby (much to our friends' disappointment) but already know what the nursery is going to look like (navy & kelly green) & are discussing names. Even though I am 17 weeks pregnant, I have lost weight & there isn't a bump yet (although I am down to only 1 pair of jeans)! But my Mom & I did go maternity clothes shopping yesterday & so I am all set for awhile. I passed my first blood sugar test & am doing the second one (the long one) next week but we'll get to see the baby again too :) Things are great!!
